Dennis Hastert's memoir coming out
I don't know if I can wait til August for this.

http://www.suntimes.com/output/sweet/cst-edt-sweet13.html

Here's a scoop: House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert's memoir, to be aptly titled Speaker, will be published this August -- timed to catch a bounce off the Democratic and Republican conventions.

The unassuming Hastert reveals in the opening chapter -- set on Sept. 11, 2001, after the terrorist attacks -- that the enormity of being in the line of succession after the president and vice president hit him for the first time when he received on that fateful day a briefing on the details of his being sworn into office -- if necessary.

Marji Ross, the president and publisher of Regnery Publishing, a house with a string of best-sellers by conservatives, told me that the Hastert book will be launched on Aug. 2, just after the Democrats wrap up their presidential convention July 26-29 at the Fleet Center in Boston. Hastert plans to devote the month of August to promote his book, hitting the GOP convention Aug. 30-Sept. 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York, where he will do a book signing.

"What I want to try to do is meld the politics and the book into one tour,'' said Michael Stokke, Hastert's deputy chief of staff and top political adviser. ''Obviously, he has a lot of political stuff to do this year too.''

1. Come on
Is this guy so stupid that he didn't once think about the line of succession before 9/11. He is a liar!
