Americans Don't Know Our Troops Raped & Murdered Innocent Iraqis
Edited on Thu May-13-04 08:28 AM by cryingshame
They believe "all we did was humiliate them"

They don't know that these were civilians (some who were youngsters) being raped and murdered as well as "humiliated".

Hell, they don't even know that these were, by and large, INNOCENT civilians who were swept off the streets en masse.

THAT'S why the "interrogators weren't getting any actionable intelligence.

Isn't informing the public that our troops were doing much more than "humiliating" exceedingly important if we are to draw informed opinions?

Why are the media and the GOP being allowed to pretend this is just a matter of the first wave of photographs that showed Iraqis in disgraceful positions?

3. Here you are
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld apologized yesterday for the
abuse of Iraqi prisoners and failing to convey the gravity of the offenses, but warned Congress
that many more photos and videotapes of ''blatantly sadistic, cruel, and inhuman" behavior by
US soldiers exist and could further damage America's reputation.

The new photos and videotapes provide evidence of the rape and
murder of prisoners, according to Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican
of South Carolina, who was given a classified briefing on the matter.

''It is going to get worse before it gets better," Graham said. ''We're talking about rape and
murder."

4. Heard today that the worst will come from the Womens and Juviniles prisons
And that's what "worse" means. All of the photos and video must be released and dealt with.

6. Spoke To Woman Who Works With My Family
she is really sharp and pretty liberal although she has no real access to alternative news.

She knows there's other photos out there but not that murder and rape are involved.

She's outraged by what's going on in Iraq & Gitmo... but the rape and murder seem to be not in public consciousness.
