Though many of us like to insist that we would never, ever do anything mean just because someone told us to, the evidence strongly suggests otherwise.

experimental subjects found it easier to rebel.

The experiments themselves abused their human subjects -- they would not, at least should not, be approved by Institutional Review Boards nowdays.
