I take back what I said about Abu Grhaib the other day
I said I didn't think it was all that bad for Bush. It's getting pretty ugly now and only getting worse. I never would have thought something like this would come back and bite these weasels in the ass. They have something like 11 other potential scandals on the burner and then this breaks. Wow. And, as I said, it's only getting worse.

1. Well, it's about sex after all
at least they are consistent about one thing.

Even if it seems to make murder permissable.

2. It is becoming easier to believe negative information about Bush
There is a cumulative effect where the public is now prepared to start believing that Bush is capable of making some horrible mistakes.

3. Bad guys mostly get their comeuppance in the end.
The trouble is that they cause so much damage and suffering in the meantime until they do.

4. Same here. I'm shocked at the attention it's getting.
The stories of POW abuse have been out there forever and no one in the media seemed to give a shit. Why the sudden interest? Just because there are photos?

5. Yep
that just the way it works.

If you study any case of brutality that has ever gone to court, the only ones that have half a chance of winning are the ones where the victim had the ways and means (which is rare) to get pictures taken while they are still in jail.

It the same sort of thing, with the reported incidents from Iraq. No one could prove anything without the pictures. However, now that 1000's of pictures have been leaked, there is overwhelming, irrefutable evidence of the horror that has been going on since we invaded Iraq. Bu$hCo will soon be history.
