MSNBC Journalist on O'Franken says Kerry couldn't possibly be doing better
Lawrence O'Donnell Jr. says considering the money, the machine, and the "popular" President he's up against, he's running a fantastic campaign. Being "even" with Bush is better than where Clinton (92) and Gore (00) were at this time.

Al says we need to keep the base energized.

1. For right now Kerry should just sit back and feed W more rope
Don't jump in when the other guy is sinking. And W HAS been sinking for a while. Oh those pesky facts.

3. It's the GOP mediawhores clouding the status of the campaign.
First they say that Kerry is the most liberal Senator, then they say the left doesn't want Kerry they want Nader, now they say that Bush and Kerry are the same.

Gee...why would BushInc have their whores twisting both their records? Looks like they plan to use the media to sell Bush as a moderate.

8. They also jump back & forth between
"Kerry has no plan." to "Kerry's plan will hurt the country."

4. But he then started talking about the torturegate and he said
there isn't any scandal because the Pentagon had started the investigation of the cases before the story broke.
He thought also that there were only 25 complaints.
Franken contradicted him on this number and he said that that was the impression from the Washington Post article and that somebody should control the statistical exactitud of the reporting.

5. Exactly. He was either intentionally spreading disinformation, or
he didn't what the hell he was talking about.

6. This morning, Mara Liasson on NPR said Bush was ahead (Cokie segment)
Yes, it frosted me. I was listening to the usual Monday morning Cokie Roberts spin-o-rama and she just had to throw that in. It looks like Mara is every bit as "good" as Bob Edwards, who was forced off of Mourning Edition this month (note heaviest of sarcasm)

7. That was good to hear.
That's what I think as well. "Don't try to kill your
opponent if he's committing suicide." That's good
advice.

9. Rope a Dope
Senator Kerry is in good shape right now. He has narrowed the funding gap for spending next fall and is in better position than either Clinton or Reagan at the same time.

I saw that John Zogby has stated that the election is Senator Kerry's to lose. I think that he may be right in such assessment.
