Robert Klein, Richard Belzer, Jim Morris Will Headline First 'Blacklist Ball'
Who thought being on a blacklist could be such a ball? On Saturday evening, May 8, comedians will parody the blacklist maintained by the National Rifle Association before an audience of hundreds of supporters of reasonable gun violence prevention laws at a party to raise funds for the fight to save America's assault weapons ban.
Comedy giant Robert Klein, a Grammy award winner; Richard Belzer, comedian and cast member of Law and Order: SVU; and renowned political comedian and impersonator Jim Morris will entertain the crowd. The Ball comes the evening before the Million Mom March Mother's Day March to Halt the Assault, on the West Front of the Capitol.
The event will include a silent and live auction featuring exciting goods and services, including such prizes as walk-on roles on The West Wing and an upcoming spinoff of The Practice and a Kenneth Cole shopping spree and fashion show invitation donated by Cole, who will attend the Sunday rally with his wife, Maria Cuomo Cole.
The NRA publishes on its website a list of prominent individuals and organizations that have shown support over the years for common sense gun laws. For more about the blacklist, visit
