Remember April 2, 2004?
That was the date when we learned that 308,000 new McJobs were created during March by the Bushco economic miracle. Well, it has been one month since then. Any predictions on the new number for April? First time unemployment claims are up.

2. someone in the dept. of labor said they were ordered to find anything
that would qualify for a 'job' and they did, beating the
bush to pump that number up or else.

3. The March numbers are being adjusted downward...
...but we won't know to what figure until the April figures come out late this week. So talk about flip flop, the administration really tries to stretch all it can from employment figures, knowing full well when people are focused on the current numbers they can downsize earlier figures and most of the public can't sense the proportions that are taking place. More propaganda tactics.

I'm going to stick my neck out and guess that the March numbers will go down by at least 10% to well below 300,000. My rational, because the administration fudging the numbers last would have really strained to get them up over 300,000 and used every statistical maneuver that they could and they could have stretched those figures by 30,000 easily by taking some of the reported numbers that belonged in April and retained them in March. Now, they just roll them forward. :eyes: :freak:

4. Ha, like minds, at least I know that we aren't all crazy...
...my real fear is how long have the numbers been rigged this way and maybe they are using numbers borrowed from several months forward (called adjusted moving averages) and we aren't getting statistics at all, but totally made-up bogus numbers. Even the CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (Tom Donahue being questioned by Lou Dobbs earlier) believes outsourcing of jobs and huge trade deficits are good for the economy. What planet is this guy from?:silly:
