Ever seen albums dedicated against Presidents
I am in my lower 30's so I don't have lots and lots of history, but I have never seen so many groups against a president and Presidency.

Has anyone else.

The link here is to a punk site against Bush basically. A new album came out In April called "Rock aginst Bush"

Have you ever seen a "Rock against Clinton, Rock against Reagan, or anything like that??

I never have.

9. nope, not on it.
Just picked it up on the weekend. Listening to NOFX helps fool my 14-year old into thinking I'm, like, hep.

5. hell yes..
in the early-mid eighties there were TONS of anti-Reagan albums.

hell, there were bands that even named themselves that way (e.g. Reagan Youth).

Ronald Reagan was the best thing that ever happened to punk rock in the US.

11. I don't remember...
a lot of Anti-Reagan stuff, at least not so mainstream. This is easily the most hated public official of the last 60 years or so. I have read that Herbert Hoover was not well liked, but this seems so concentrated nowadays. I plan on getting this punk album.

I remember Ministry had a line in the song Stigmata (live version):

"F**K George Bush, F**K his ugly wife"...

Always brought a chuckle.

6. I guess sort of in a subtle way in the late 60's and early 70's
Those were also very volatile times, and the music was in a very protesting mode against the war in Vietnam and the "Establishment."

But I can't recall presidents being called out directly in song lyrics or album names. I believe Bush may be the most hated president in our lifetimes, and record labels these days are more tolerant to artists' creativity, even if it means denouncing Bush.

7. Who can
ever forget DaDa

"I just flipped off President george, now I'm going to DizzNee Land"

It was during his dad's reign of terror but it works today also.

8. Ramones...
"My Brain Is Hanging Upside Down (Bonzo Goes to Bitburg)"

You've got to pick up the pieces
C'mon, sort your trash
You better pull yourself back together
Maybe you've got too much cash
Better call, call the law
When you gonna turn yourself in? Yeah
You're a politician
Don't become one of Hitler's children

Bonzo goes to bitburg then goes out for a cup of tea
As I watched it on TV somehow it really bothered me
Drank in all the bars in town for an extended foreign policy
Pick up the pieces

My brain is hanging upside down
I need something to slow me down

Shouldn't wish you happiness, wish her the very best
Fifty thousand dollar dress
Shaking hands with your highness
See through you like cellophane
You watch the world complain, but you do it anyway
Who am I, am I to say

Bonzo goes to bitburg then goes out for a cup of tea
As I watched it on TV somehow it really bothered me
Drank in all the bars in town for an extended foreign policy
Pick up the pieces

My brain is hanging upside down
I need something to slow me down

If there's one thing that makes me sick
It's when someone tries to hide behind politics
I wish that time could go by fast
Somehow they manage to make it last

My brain is hanging upside down
I need something to slow me down

also, Dead Kennedys "We've Got a Bigger Problem Now"
