8. Misleading? I don't think so.
Kerry will not "cut and run" -- which would just lead to violent chaos until another dictatorship emerged, anyway -- but Kerry actually has a plan for liberating Iraq. * does not and never will have any such plan.

9. What might that be?
Edited on Sun May-02-04 09:23 PM by Aidoneus
I must've missed it, sandwiched between reaffirmations of his support of the invasion, vows to maintain the occupation and "stay the course".. criticisms focus primarily on the fact that Bush didn't entice enough foreign mercenaries and cannon fodder with pledges to divide the spoils, not enough troops to "do the job right" (whatever the fuck that means), etc..

Nixon had the same line. Worked great for him, even if it was a lie then too.

10. Yep...
If you really believe that you've accurately stated Kerry's position, then you've definitely "missed it":

http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/04/30/kerry.iraq/index.html

And the "new direction" is not just the result of the events of the last month; it's basically the same thing he's been saying all along:
