They are quite sure that they will not bring in big ratings tonight. It's not about that.

4. Thinks it will not change minds
Koppel: If you're pro-war you'll probably remain pro war."

Also said he's received thousands of emails but none from the military. He thinks the military approves of honoring the war dead.

6. Talking about WWII
It's not the numbers. People didn't flinch at the number of dead because it was a righteous cause.

This war is supposed to be about our freedom. Our freedom to do what? You cannot send people to die without letting us know what this war is about. People will be dying over there for years to come. We have a right and obligation to questions whether it's beind done in the right way.

He supports WOT.

7. Koppel reading Mc Cain letter to Sinclair
I write to strongly protest your decision to prevent broadcast. I supported president's decision but every American has resp to understand full the extraordinary sacrifices of American men and women. Lest we become desensitized to the tremendous costs....

8. I'm not a McCain lover
But that was a pretty awesome letter Koppel read from McCain to Sinclair, vehemently protesting their decision not to run Nightline
