Effing CNN and Jack Effing Cafferty
Edited on Wed Apr-28-04 08:33 AM by Minstrel Boy
Hardly ever turn it on except to see how they cover "breaking news," but I did just now, and heard Cafferty, over footage of the assault on Fallujah, spewing his ignorance about Iraq.

He was ranting about how you really have three nations over there, and the Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds have "hated each other for a thousand years," and they aren't going to start getting along over night despite "our" best efforts.

Then - and this is where I really lost it - he said, "At some point, the political leadership over there has got to stand up, and say 'Lookit, this is our country...'"

Don't know what he said after that, because that's the point at which I started screaming "THEY ARE! THEY ARE!", and a few other things besides.

Ten seconds is all I could take. It's a stream of unchallenged insanity. And I'm sure it must make sense to people who know nothing else.

11. Air America
Hi,

I'm paraphrasing.....basically it was that Air America was having problems, that they have lost two of their top administrators...

At which time Cafferty (King George's court jester) started smirking, shaking his head and chuckling a bit....the other numb-nuts (I don't know their names)started smiling and nodding. It was also brought up that Air America was going off the air in LA and Chicago.

During this segment, they also commented on Howard Stern and that is ratings are up in Chicago and other cities.

Cheers,
Kim

3. Typical narrow-minded thinking
What comes after "this is our country" -- "So let's do what the Americans want?"

4. You think THAT'S bad?
You should take a look at the letters in the current U.S. News and World Report, wingnuts whining about how it was unnecessary for them to print the graphic photos of the four civilian contractors murdered in Fallujah, how it was too much, they didn't need to know it, blahblahblah. One idiot even went so far as to send the pictures back to the magazine! WHAT THE FUCK DO THESE IGNORAMUSES THINK WAR IS AND WHAT THE FUCK DO THEY THINK IS GOING ON THERE, A PICNIC ON A GRASSY HILLSIDE COMPLETE WITH TEA AND CRUMPETS????????????

And then to top it all off, there were ignorant wingnut letters about how the Iraqi insurgents are destroying the country and all the coalition is trying to do is to help the country and yet the Iraqis blame the coalition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One fuckwad even went so far as to say that if the current journalists had been around in WWII, we would have capitulated to the Japanese and the Germans!!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE THE FUCK DO THESE NUMBBRAINS COME FROM?????????????????????:grr: :grr: :grr:    :nuke: :nuke: :nuke:

7. Been watching CNN all morning
The ignorance and propaganda is UNBELIEVABLE this morning.

I haven't seen this level of bullshit since before the war.

Everyone fighting the Americans in Iraq is a terrorist. The people of Fallujah are insurgents. We see no "solution" to the "problem" of the Fallujans fighting us. We're just going to have to go in and teach them a lesson. Yadda yadda yadda stupid shit piled on top of total garbage.

8. Hey Pea Brain CNN talking heads...remember what happens
to the Iraqi Police, Army and government people when they try to take charge? KA-BOOM! We'd all like for Iraqi's to be in charge of their own country, but whenever they try to do it they are killed by "whoever the hell it is" for cooperating with US.

This is such a cluster and they still think "it was a good idea." Tell me, if you decided to climb Half-Dome with only one bottle of water and a box of graham crackers and you got to see a beautiful view at the top, would it still be a good idea considering your ass will be dehydrated and maybe dead before you get back down?

9. Do all the letters say "Kill 'em all"?
Tuned back in and heard Cafferty read some emails. Virtually all seem to say "level the place." And goddamn, the bloodlust in his voice. What a sick bastard, and what a sick nation 20-years of unchallenged far-right hatemongering has made of America.

Even if Kerry wins, if the Fairness Doctrine is not reinstated, America will remain lost.

10. One question...
Since I didn't hear the show this morning... Could the emails be sarcasm? I mean the one saying "We'll free them even if we have to kill them all!" sounds like sarcasm to me.

Hi,

Could be sarcasm, but Cafferty's head is so far up his ass he can't think straight.

Cheers,
Kim

18. I love the can of Sprite next to sniper
Like we're at a party. Hey, more ice.
And how about some popcorn.

In summation, these symptoms include the inability to
respond to even the most basic questions. Your
relative apparently understands the questions but is
completely unable to formulate any kind of a responsive
answer to even the simplest question. Your relative
has apparently developed strong rigidity of mind insofar as
his views are concerned and cannot be dissuaded from
them. He also, as you report, seems to fixate on
relatively unimportant matters to the exclusion of more
pressing and important issues. Also, he appears to
have problems remembering recent facts and has a
growing inability to respond to outside counsel on matters of
vital importance to the running of his business. Given his
age and your report of earlier and extensive substance
abuse (i.e., alcohol and drugs) it is entirely possible that
your brother-in-law may have suffered sufficient brain
damage as to bring about an early appearance of
Alzheimer’s Disease. There are other possibilities here,
of course, but in view of your extensive analysis of his persona,
it is my suggestion that you or another member of his
family seek medical advice and further, that he be tested by
a neurologist for the possible onset of this
disease.

I should note that the prognosis for Alzheimer’s Disease is not good.

16. Other News Services
Edited on Wed Apr-28-04 09:04 AM by Bjornsdotter
Hi,

Didn't they also discuss foreign news reports and how they don't get the story right....

I think they also said that this needed to be stopped.

I wish I could remember more of it but as soon as I heard where they were going my brain took control of my body...glazed my eyes over, shut down transmission of sound....all in an attempt to save brain cells from totally freaking out.

If anyone saw this part please add what you heard.

Cheers,
Kim
