I was just watching the news here in NZ, and they showed a segment from CBS (I believe) discussing the British outrage at the showing of photos of Diana dying in the wreckage of the car.
Some smarmy bitch was doing the report, and she showed "on the street" interviews with Brits and their reaction. Each person was pissed off that CBS had shown the pictures, but straight after the interviews, this bitch comes on and says "but privately" most Brits were dying to see the pictures themselves (without providing any evidence of this claim).
She then went on to say that the Royals were worried that when the British press finished "being sanctimonious" that they would focus once again on the Royal role in the accident.
It was a totally disgusting segment, in that she straight up accused the British of being just as crass as the US for wanting to see these photos and were being hypocritical.
Well, Ms Smarmy Bitch, tell us, if showing pictures of Diana actually dying in the wreckage is "journalistically valid" why the hell is CBS not showing pictures of US soldiers dying in Iraq? Why is CBS not even showing pictures of their coffins returning to the US?
Is that not "journalistically valid", or are you and CBS just hypocritical arseholes? Fuck you CBS, and fuck you, whoever that dumb bitch was on that story!
