A pact can be unilaterally broken with little or no consequences.

I post Drudge garbage if I think it's relevant to DU intelligence/counter-intelligence.

And I give Drudge tips if I think it'll further the cause of better information. And sometimes he posts my links, and his readers may be enlightened.

Yesh, he's a rightwing tool... but he does get scoops before a lot of other people in the business... and sometimes it is good news for our side.

I do like to get a "heads up" on potentially damaging stories for our side.

As long as we say something like, "Drudge is reporting________________, so take it for what you will..."

or...

"Drudge says the NY Times will break a story tomorrow on ______________, does anyone have any background info on this?"

Knowing these things might help one prepare for the mainstream media's attention to the story the next day.
