8. Baseball is a good analogy...

He got some easy ones right down the middle but he swung too early or too late and fouled them off and then he was caught looking on some strikes (the questions he chose to ignore). Just sitting on those pitches killed him tonight. Instead of lining a couple of hits, even singles, he fouled a bunch back and then got caught looking (in particular on the questions where he was asked to admit his mistakes).
