Did that change when Freeh and Reno were out and Muller and Ashcroft were in?

Pass the Buck. That's all these people in the B.A. do!

11. that's easy to spin...

The thing to hit on would be the fact that Chimpy can't won't or didn't have the ability or will to control his Administration.

12. We need to put the word out: HE IS THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF.
The buck has to stop with him. There is no choice. His "leadership" style has led to all this mess.

16. "leadership" style
Top Ten Idiots says it best:

"See, Bush likes to delegate. That means he sits on his ass - mostly in Crawford, or Kennebunkport, or at Camp David - while his team of happy bureaucrats get busy at their jobs."

20. Comes down to the Chimp's DECISION - he requested details be withheld
and demanded short memos with overviews. Remember, Clarke said they were told first thing the president is not a reader and wanted all his memos on one page.

We have a lazy, incomprehensive oaf in office.

So, the head of the Department of Justice, of which the FBI is a part, isn't responsible for domestic terrorism?

14. CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT THE FREEPERS WOULD DO
if Reno was AG when 911 happened? They would demand that she be jailed. Ashcroft is completely incompetent and has no business being our nation's AG. He lost a senatorial election to a dead man ( the great Mel Carnahan - God rest his soul) for Heaven's sake!

I can't believe Fineman has grown a brain over the last couple of weeks--I didn't catch the whole significance of the memo but it doesn't sound good for the bush reich.

I'm sure the christian fundamentalist in Ashcroft will relish playing the sacrificial lamb for his god-chosen boss.

21. I'll ask again... was it an actual MEMO? In writing?
Edited on Tue Apr-13-04 02:04 PM by Brotherjohn
That's MUCH more damaging than someone's word.

It would be the first hard evidence that the a high level administration official consciously and specifically dismissed these threats, even after hearing about them.
