Republican's target California women....White House is behind recall...
Edited on Wed Aug-06-03 02:07 PM by Oracle

As they pretend it wasn't very rich Republican assholes who paid for this recall. Even when Democrat, Gray Davis was just re-elected less than a year ago by the people...They want California for Bush in 2004 and the Republicans didn't like the results of the last election, so they spent millions of dollars to change the outcome of the election with this Republican recall, in order to get a Republican Governor. Lying disgusting GOP swine!

The memo by California GOP organizer Julie Leitzell, who heads a political action committee called CommonSense Direction, says the Oct. 7 recall election presents an opportunity to target disaffected voters -- particularly women.

"We will work outside of the campaigns and outside of the party," the memo to Republican activists says. "None of the candidates will be attending, as we want to make sure the media are steered toward the 'common sense women against Davis' angle."

Leitzell's memo clearly suggests the imprimatur of the White House.

Leitzell, reached Tuesday night, downplayed her role in a larger GOP strategy, saying she was a grassroots volunteer who had no connection to the White House or the Republican National Committee.

But her memo says Tucker, California Republican Party spokeswoman Karen Hanretty, and Tracy Schmitt -- formerly with the RNC and now with the Bush- Cheney 2004 campaign -- "will be coordinating seven simultaneous media- friendly events throughout California, (and) we have been asked to call the Bay Area's attention to just how much Gray Davis will cost us if he were left in office."

2. I dunno, enk
women can be just as stupid as men

Poor white males vote Republican...they might as well be voting for their landlords to raise the rent.

3. Nope but they seem a tad desperate
If you ask me.

Women for the GOP, yeah right...

Ok I do know some and once you start digging under the covers you realize that these women are Republican all right, the old style, you know when the party was for fiscal responsibilty and small government, and are shocked at what they are seeing now with their GOP... some will be voting Democratic for the first time in their lives this coming general election and in Califirnia, what can I say... the Repukes cannot win a straight election so they do this.

::shakes head::

Wanna bet the first things the next governor will do is repeal that law?

4. I think it's in the state constitution...
fairly big deal to change...would require a public vote...and if Davis is voted out people may think "well, it worked..why change it"

5. Call me paranoid but this is how I think the plan was from the beginning.
After Bush lost California, they manufactured the energy 'crisis'. This leads to the recall - which leads to a new election - which leads to some scummy GOPer taking over - which leads to the cabal infusing lots of $$ and aide to California - which leads to the populace loving their new GOP governor - which leads to CA going GOP in 2004.

So transparent.

7. I agree this was planned well in advance...
Edited on Wed Aug-06-03 03:29 PM by Oracle
Just as Florida in 2000 was planned years in advance, putting Jeb in place, K Harris, passing legislation taking felons off the voting rolls in 1998, etc...They knew they would have an advatage of 25 electoral votes from the word go...over any Democrat...just as they will in 2004 and the same of what they are trying to do in California...and they already have done it in Texas...

Shit, you steal Florida, California and Texas and you already have the racist south and most of the mid-west...The Republicans have already won. The GOP wins the presidency year after year after year.
