Is there a LIHOP whistle-blower waiting in the wings?
I haven't followed everything going on with the commission, but I heard somewhere that there is a whistle-blower ready to expose LIHOP. Is this true?

1. Tonight my sister who is very apolitical
said that she fears that the Bush admin LIHOP...

it really disturbs her that all that intelligence went to waste and that they had ignored it.

I am not a conspiracy theorist but when my sister who isn't very political starts to feel this way...it makes me wonder.

2. Most likely referring to Sibel Edmonds <sp>...
...but could be one of any number of persons. There's more than enough evidence on the table to connect the dots. Hell, Condi said it herself in her testimony. They didn't want to swat at flies, they needed a catastrophic event to initiate widespread changes and actions (like the invasion of Iraq).

9. Those PNAC guys
in one of their reports, said that in order to lead the country in the way they wanted to go, i.e. spreading "American values" and stopping any countries that could become our equal, would require military force and could not be accomplished without a catastrophe on the level of Pearl Harbor. Most of the PNAC guys are in the administration now.

3. If Sibel Edmonds came out and bluntly stated LIHOP, what would happen?
Would impeachment proceedings begin?

15. It would be so much easier to defeat them in the election...
then put them on trial. If there were an impeachment, it would take several months, then an interim potus would be appointed. Then there would be the election and the interim might win.
Sure, I would like to see Dubya disgraced, but I would like to see him defeated, too. He would bring down so many neo-cons with him.

5. Would the republicans be able to pardon Bush

Given that Cheney is "the evil genius" behind it all, he would be gone too... Who would be the first non-traitor in the chain of command who would get the Presidency? Al Gore?

6. If there was LIHOP, both * and Cheney would be thrown in jail
So speaker Dennis Hastert would become President, and would likely be viewed by historians was somewhere between Gerald Ford and Franklin Pierce.

8. I doubt Hastert would become
president. I think Tom DeLay would engineer something to make himself Speaker. I feel like a conspiracy theorist saying this, but I just don't believe DeLay would stand by and let Hastert become president.

10. I seriously don't think so. I think the media would spin it
to make it sound like they did the right thing.

"we needed a war on islamist fundamentalism".

Bush and Cheney et al are patriots after all, folks! They know what's best for the U S of A

11. Doubt it
But Bill Schneider and Brit Hume would release poll after poll stating that Americans agree with LIHOP....then on election day, * would receive 2% of the popular vote, and carry Idaho and Alabama.

16. I believe there are several that have spoken off the record
or at least pointed out leads to investigators.
There are many things that should be declassified now.

A lot of folks here at DU have done a great job of investigating too.
LIHOP.
