We were right!
We were right about the WMD's

We were right about Bush's lies

We were right about the impending Quagmire in Iraq

We were right about a war in Iraq undermining the fight against terror

We were right about NOT being safer after the capture of Saddam

We were right about ... (fill in the blank)

Boy do I wish we were wrong.

17. That's true ... unfortunately.
I've been thinking ...

It's stressful, frustrating and scary being one of the people who saw what was happening over the last 3 years and not be able to do anything about it. But imagine being one of the people who haven't got a clue. They'll just wake up one morning to the sound of jack-booted thugs banging down their door and realize their country's gone.

Of course, they'll blame Clinton for it! :eyes:

21. Wha? We were? Why? .....when/where
(blank filled in: www.kucinich.us)

Kucinich Says Transfer of Power Will Not Stop the Bloodshed
The June 30th transfer of power from the U.S.- led Coalition Provisional Authority to an interim Iraqi
government is "a hoax intended to deceive the American people into believing that this nightmare
of death and destruction is coming to an end," said Democratic Presidential candidate Dennis
Kucinich.

"There's not going to be any difference in our military posture on July 1st from what it is on June
30th," said Kucinich, adding, "Those aren't my words. Those are the words of Deputy Defense
Secretary Paul Wolfowitz." Wolfowitz made the comment to reporters last Friday, April 2, following
a briefing to the House Armed Services Committee.

"The only thing that is going to change is the level of violence aimed at our men and women in
uniform," Kucinich said. "It will become even deadlier." At least 30 U.S. military personnel have
been killed in the last 72 hours.

"On June 30th, all we will be doing is transferring power from the right hand to the left hand -- from
the Coalition Provisional Authority to a yet-unestablished interim government chosen under the
terms of a constitution written by the Bush Administration and ratified by an Iraqi Governing
Council installed by the Bush Administration," Kucinich said.

Despite the fanfare, pomp and ceremony.......jump right in

peace,

22. What a nightmare...
"Our troops are being targeted and killed, and the Administration and others in our government keeping talking about June 30th as though it's some sort of magical date that will bring this nightmare to an end," Kucinich said. "It won't. It can't. The invasion was a mistake. The occupation is a mistake. And we're paying the price for those mistakes with American lives and the lives of innocent Iraqi citizens."

What a sad state of affairs this whole friggin mess is.

"Dennis" was right.

23. Which is harder?
to have supported the war from the beginning and now have to admit you were wrong? (Blood on your hands, and the bitter pill of admitting the other side was right)

or to have opposed the war from the beginning and now wish you were wrong?

Its a killer either way. speaking from the latter group, it is harsh to have witnessed this. I'd give anything to say we were wrong.

Edited on Fri Apr-09-04 11:41 PM by fishnfla
a 'cakewalk', liberators with flower-strewn parades, freedom and democracy in Iraq, Saddam really had nasty WMD's, not 649 dead troopers, not thousands of dead Iraqis, and more dying everyday

i would gladly admit i was wrong, if that pipe dream happend to come true

edit: it is the same sentiment as the original post, only poorly expressed i guess

29. Where the F do YOU get GLEE from my statement?
Edited on Sat Apr-10-04 09:06 AM by mzmolly
*cough* "SHUT UP???!!!" :wtf: UHM, I feel like I'm on the Bill O'Reilly show. :eyes:

Listen, it would do you good to read and absorb the meaning of ones simple statements before posting a lecture.

Here is the most important piece of what I said:

"Boy, do I wish we were wrong."

Gleeful? I don't think so ... Most people here knew the meaning of my "simple" post.

Further, I never trusted this Government to tell me the truth, I am sorry if your disillusioned on top of it all.

And, can you clarify this statement? What on Earth do you mean by this?!

"Take a lesson from the Iraqis. THIS is how big change takes place." Take a lesson from the Iraqis????

because the sheeple listen to 'liberal' media sources that are doing all within their power to negate the truth.

If we had a TRUE free press, most of the sheeple would already know that we were right.....sigh.

31. Slowly the truth will drip out of the container and people will be forced
to recon with the horrors of this war. That doesn't mean that some will justify it no matter what, but it does mean that *rational* people who were lied to will start to open their eyes.
