please. Michael is in the worst spot in Iraq he could be, at Abu Ghraib, right outside of Baghdad. I am here with his dad now, and hoping Michael will be alive , and waiting for the worst, hoping for the best and figuring out what to do if the worst happens.

The violence in Iraq is spiraling out of control and we must get out of there. Please do not think our presence is producing anything of value. it is killing and maiming young Americans.

The idea that we must stay in Iraq to straighten out the mess we caused is a logical fallacy. It presumes we will do something to make this ugly situation right when we have done nothing, absolutely nothing, right there to date. Someone must introduce this concept to other legislators and it might as well be you.

The only logical solution is to get out of Iraq now. Let the Iraqis solve their own governance. They are capable people and can do it without us. Their hatred for us only makes the situation worse.

I am not alone in my feelings. Last night we were at a restaurant and there were several other tables where discussion about Iraq was going on. One table was discussing Richard Clarke's book (a table of 14!) and at another I heard the people saying they wanted the U.S. to get out of Iraq. People in NJ want the troops to come home now!
