40% of * time has been on VACATION
From Friday's WP

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A62524-2004Apr8.html

White House communications director Dan Bartlett retorted that Bush is "not skiing" in Texas, as Kerry did on a recent vacation in Idaho. He said Bush remains in contact with his military advisers and is spending Easter weekend with his family. "Most Americans will understand that," Bartlett said.

This is Bush's 33rd visit to his ranch since becoming president. He has spent all or part of 233 days on his Texas ranch since taking office, according to a tally by CBS News. Adding his 78 visits to Camp David and his five visits to Kennebunkport, Maine, Bush has spent all or part of 500 days in office at one of his three retreats, or more than 40 percent of his presidency.

............................

OK 40% on vacation, then add the amount of time "fund raising" that adds around 15% more time for "personal matters" Gee the Vacationer in Chief life is not bad.

1. You can take it...
a step further. If you whittle it down to hours, he goes to bed early every evening -- no matter what. I don't know how he finds time to do work. Oh, and to Dan Bartlett, my answer to Kerry's skiing, "Kerry is NOT the President of the United States!!!!!!" If a major military decision needs to be made, it's not Kerry that makes it. God, help us if something tragic happens between 10 pm and 7 am.

22. The figure is closer to 43%............
1175 days since being appointed and 500 days of vacation.

I think a major issue should be made about Aug 6th '01 Briefing ........ warning of Bin Laden attacks INSIDE the USA.... and what'd he do? He went fishing, that morning.

7. No ads... Bush doesn't need any help looking horrible.
He can do it all by himself.

Kerry should lay back, and keep the message positive, a distraction, a glimpse into the future of a world without Bush.

My opinion, only, but honestly, why beat up on Bush when everyone else is doing it for him?

9. 40% of the presidency on vacation is bad enough.
But let's not forget, this is our self-described "war president" on vacation 40% of the time.

Just imagine if there really were a liberal media...

"Most Americans will understand that," Bartlett said.

Lazy bastard, but then we have to remember shrub isn't really running the show. The jerkoff vp is running the show from an underground bunker.

Remember that "shadow government" thread a couple days ago?

Hey does anyone know if those two assholes stayed and watched the entire baseball game the other day?

14. exactly, Bu$h is puppet
Cheney is puppetmaster. Read 'Worse than Watergate,' it brings it all home. The only reason Cheney is not out front, is his health is very poor, according to (John) Dean, he's got one foot in the grave. They'll never take Dick off the ticket, because he's really running the show.

:eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: Seriously, 500 days??? That amounts to about a year and four months of vacation time!

I don't ever remember Clinton taking any vacations. He actually cared about the country and cared about running it.

It makes you wonder who really is running the country...

" don't ever remember Clinton taking any vacations. He actually cared about the country and cared about running it"

I hate to bring up old Blow Jobs  , but as I remember, President Clinton would be on the phone with people while Monica was doing her thing.

17. This country is at war. It's inexcusible .
There is no moral justification whatsoever for this President, the Commander-in-Chief, to spend so much damn time on vacation. If Clinton was President, and he pulled this shit, he'd be crucified for it.

people (republicans) stole the 2000 election (which we should never forget)but he's too fucking stupid and doesn't really care about anything but being rich and "in charge" Cheney Rove, Wolfowitz they are the president.
