If Al Gore was president.
1. 9/11 would have been prevented.
2. There would have been no recession.
3. 3 Million jobs would not have been allowed to be lost.
4. There would still be a surplus.
5. There would be no deficit.
6. We would still have allies, not willing subjects.
7. States would not be suffering, In turn driving up local taxes.
8. Environmental polluters would still be prosecuted.
9. NO Mad cow disease.
10.Ken Lay would be making license plates in prison by now.
11.We would have single payer health care, not the BS Bush & AARP gave us.
12. NO PATRIOT ACT.
13. Osama captured, Afghanistan truly liberated.
14. NO IRAQ WAR!!!
15. NO DEAD SOLDIERS IN IRAQ!!
16. NO DEAD CITIZENS OF IRAQ!!
17. NO HALLIBURTON NO BID CONTRACTS!!
18. No planes downed in China!!
19. No Oil executive joy rides on sub marines, which killed those Japanese tourists.
20. We would still have a tech industry, but what do you expect from an administration still stuck in the cold war?
21. Full disclosure of presidential records.
22. Full transparency and honesty from their president.
23. There truly would be no child left behind.

Care to add more?

1. I would be happy.
I wouldn't have wasted 4 year of my life trying to convince him to run again.

4. I disagree.
Gore would not have let or encouraged the massive outsourcing of jobs. He would not have let the tech industry slip like it has. Clinton did lob a few SCUDS at Iraq when Saddam kicked out the UN. But Clinton Gore did not invade, did not Shock and awe.

There were sanctions on Iraq that hurt millions of people and that was wrong, but those were about to be lifted by the UN, which had imposed those sanctions in the first place. Remember that Gore was adamantly opposed to the invasion of Iraq.

5. Clinton did not 'lob SCUDS' since they're not U.S. missles...
...they are largely Russian made.
...ours are mostly Tomahawk etc. cruise missles.
...ours are more accurate and deadly.
...i have heard people much more knowledgeable than me assert that SCUDS are about as accurate as bottle rockets.

6. I don't know
I'll give you some of that, but no one has any way of knowing whether or not, had absolutely everything they could have thought of been done, anything would have prevented 9/11. It's true we'll never really know but you cannot say for certain that 9/11 wouldn't have happen regardless of who was president at the time. I think the economy was in for some shaky times too. Don't get me wrong, I think this country would be a great deal better off had Gore been in the WH these past few years, but some of the things on your list were bound to happen anyway, with Dubya or without him.
