Dave (KIRO 710 Seattle) is broadcasting a fantastic show from Baghdad and he just said Bush's speech today was idiotic. I'm listening to Dave in my kitchen and Al Franken in my living room so I'm not catching everything, but this might be one week when if I had to choose I would choose KIRO over AAR.

He is replaying Bush saying that it's going to take a while for the Iraqis to understand freedom because they suffered so much under Saddam. He's saying Bush sounds desperate.

Normally Dave is pretty middle-of-the-road. Today he says "I'm stunned." (referring to what Bush is saying)

...who won the contest for "who can fit the most flags on his car" tell me today, "I'm voting for Kerry. Every time Bush comes into town, I get stuck in traffic for hours... Bush lies worse than Clinton."

A lot of people who would like to think of themselves as Independents and patriots are having to re-evaluate their positions. Bush is becoming glaringly obvious in his attempts to stonewall, pander and mislead...
