Condi quote, unbelievable....................
http://start.sprint.earthlink.net/newsarticle?cat=6&aid=329032544_5302_lead_story

Rice said "the war on terrorism is well served by the victory in Iraq."

Told there have been more terrorist attacks since Sept. 11 than before it, she replied: "I think that's the wrong way to look at it."

Gee Condi, what OTHER way should we look at it? Iraq is now awash with foreign terrorists that WERE NOT THERE before The Krazy Kowboy decided to make Iraq his number one priority. Now Iraq is in turmoil, the people that formulated the terrorist attacks are in Afghanistan still at large, and we're supposed to LOOK at it in a different way?
This woman doesn't have what it takes for Wal-Mart security let alone security of our nation.
If Bush doesn't put her ass in front of the commission, he can kiss any chance of election in November goodbye. People want answers, not platitudes.

5. One way Harrigan
that is why she cannot safely appear in public testimony. When challenged, she cannot think fast enough on her feet. She resorts to the company line--the talking points--the memes and that is why she is perceived as lying. That's all she has--there is nothing else. It is as if she is one of talking dolls that had a little tape set into it's back.

6. Try This On Your Wingnut "Friends"...
Last night I ran into a neighbor and talk turned to Condi...spinning with the typical Repugnican mantra of executive privilidge and if she spoke she's be compromising national security.

I stopped John Wayne dead in his tracks and asked him that what she's said to 60 Minutes and Faux and Home Shopping Channel isn't compromising this country? He said "of course no"...then I asked why she couldn't trot out here butt and say the same thing with a hand raised in front of a BIPARTISAN committee investigating why our country was attacked and how 3,000 people were killed. He started to scratch...always the sign of Repugnican enlightenment.

He went on about how she knows things that neither Clarke did/does or the nation does/should and thus must maintain her ability to keep private. I ask (and always ask these people...they know "ALL the answers") What if she has information about a pending attack and is now holding it back...how would you feel about that? He said he doubts she would do that. I asked...well, if she can't discuss the last attack honestly with the people HER BOSS selected to investigate, then how safe are we now. More scratching...

We moved on to other topics, but there's a lot of questions you can play at these people that traps them in the games this regime is playing, and they either will scratch...or hopefully just shut up for a couple days.

8. The problem with these "enlightened" Republicans is that most
of them don't read so they are prone to repeat themselves incessantly like a labotomy patient.

10. Make Lemons Of Lemonade
Of course most Repugnicans I know are uninformed...grossly so. They also are self-righteously convinced they know all and their opinions are the only ones that matter. So to go head to head against them...especially on things they hear on OxyRush and InSanity is foolish.

Instead I like to pretend they actually have intelligence...or let them think so. No better way than to ask questions...my kinda way of "push polling"...LOL. Seems to work very well, too.

11. Sounds like a Dale Carnegie technique
"When 'ya get a lemon make lemonade" - Certainly it works for you very well" cuz folks like to have their ass kissed.

Anyone that listens to Limbaugh or Hannity I'd never ever pretend they actually have intelligence, just the opposite for me, I'll rub 'em the wrong way every time with the plain truth that isn't as sour as a lemon.

12. I've Got My Tongue So Far In My Cheek...
I used to try to go mano a mano with wingnuts...no more. Well, occasionally, I'll chomp on one for stress relief or the shits & giggles, but other times call for other tactics.

I'm in the middle of Repugnican suburbia...while I'm starting to see more Democrats around than ever before, we're still definitely in a minority and have to co-exist with some of the most arrogant morons.

From my experience in dealing with interviewing and the public, I learned you could always get people to reveal their truest feeling when you gave them a wide-open question and just let them go (people love to talk about themselves) and if given a question, you can actually hear them change gears in mid-sentence. You'll catch glimmers of real truth...and their own doubts...that may return back to Bizzaro world a few minutes later, but at least there's that moment of clarity.

For many, that's the best we can expect right now. This is kinda like Watergate as it took a good year from John Dean to Saturday Night Suprise to the start of the Judiciary hearings to get a lot of the Repugnican middle moved over to believing a Repugnican government could do the crap they did.

13. The tape of that exchange belongs in a MoveOn.org TV commercial ...
... ASAP.

Condi definitely is the weakest link in Dubya's propaganda machine. Rarely do you see a blunder like this remark from high White House officials. Usually, they just repeat well-rehearsed off-topic talking points in response to any direct question. Compare Condi's answer to this question to what she said when Bradley asked her if she or Dubya would apologize to the 9-11 families the way Clarke did last week. There was a full minute of slippery rhetoric, not a grievous DIRECT insult to the intelligence of the American people like the one you quoted.
