Payback's a BLEEP -- Safeway CEO faces the music
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2004/03/26/BUGK95R5IF1.DTL

Seems the guy who's doing his best to Walmart jobs at Safeway forgot that his major stockholders are public employee retirement systems.

1. That jerks the one who pushed the UFCW in San Diego...
...into that long strike. All because he wants to buy another 24 bedroon mansion, and a new 200 foot yacht.

5. UFCW in NoCal
I have a good friend who works for Safeway in Milpitas. He's not looking foward to September when his contract runs out. I hope we can make an example of this bozo so maybe some other bozos can figure out that screwing people isn't a wise way of doing business.

3.  safeway
lost 750 million because of the strike. i haven`t seen the other figures yet but they should well over that amount. those companies may have lost over a billion and half...plus maybe 5-10 % market share to smaller companies. nice job of screwing the employees, their customers, and stock holders....
