Maybe I'm just paranoid - or how Bush is going to misdirect the blame
Since I can't put anything the current administration does as "beyond the pale", my sneaky mind was wondering how the Bush administration was going to try and lay the 9/11 blame.

Here's what I came up with.

9/11 commission concludes that part or majority of the blame gets placed on the Bush administration. Bush admins reject that portion, while blowing any portion of the blame that the Clinton administration gets all out of proportion. Ashcroft at the DoJ announces an investigation into if charges should be filed against Clinton, Gore, Albright, Clarke, etc. for malfeasance in office and gross negligence. They may even go to filing actual charges.

The anti-Clinton crowd in the media goes nuts, and that becomes their talking points for the next several months. Because of these charges, Clinton, Sen. Clinton, Gore, etc. are taken out of play as supporters for Kerry. Kerry is forced to distance himself from them to avoid getting smeared by the same tar brush. In the meantime, the "blame Clinton" crowd in the US, (the ones that blame Clinton for everything, think he's the anti-christ), call him a drug dealer and rapist, etc.), start their knee-jerk spew again, which allows the Bush administration to distract them from loss of jobs, restriction of gun rights, abuse of civil rights, etc. This also appeases the NeoCons and Religious Right screwballs that want to see Clinton and his people jailed or in court.

Media keeps this story going, Faux and CNN provide minute to minute coverage to keep any real news out of the arena. Coverage and pressure keep up until October, when either formal charges are brought up, or they are actually publically arrested and freed on bail. After the November election, where the Bush administration has caused enough uncertainity and doubt to cover up any possible election theft, the charges are quietly dropped due to "lack of evidence" or some simular statement intended to haunt them and destroy their reputation, without actually libeling them.

I'm hoping I'm just being paranoid. I want to see Bush and his crowd nailed to the wall for not only 9/11, but any and all misdeeds they may have had a hand in.
