BushCo | They Can't Handle the Truth!
Edited on Wed Mar-24-04 07:20 PM by nostamj
BushCo & Clarke | It ALL Comes Down to This

If they could defend their actions;
If they could defend their policies;
They wouldn’t sink to such desperate levels merely to attack Clarke.

It wouldn’t make sense.
It makes they look petty and foolish.
They’re using outlets so openly biased as to be openly laughable.

The Vice President on Rush Limbaugh?
The National Security Advisor on a Faux talk show?
This is the behavior of responsible adults?

If they are right;
If they are honorable;
What possible reason could there be not to put it on the record?

Why would they hesitate to tell the truth?

Of course, we here on DU know.

They can’t handle the truth!

The truth would include explaining why Ashcroft’s priorities didn’t place counterterrorism in the Top 7 when the Clinton administration had it as priority number 1.

The truth would include explaining why Iraq was the sole topic of the first national security council meeting.

The truth would include explaining taking an unprecedented month-long vacation during a period of heightened terror threats.

The truth would include the flight of Saudi nationals while all other non-military flights were grounded.

(And the beat goes on...

They can’t handle the truth!

Will enough people, well outside of DU, catch on?

Not if they rely on cable news or RW radio.

They can’t handle the truth!

So, they ignore it.

3. We've known they can't handle the truth for how long now?
Just listened to the local repug radio station to get a feel for their take on the hearings. One guy said he believes Clarke's issues are valid but, BUT, he thinks Clarke is "enjoying himself in this role 'a bit too much.'" ????? The other guy said something even more stupid about the "unmasked" article: "He's (Clarke) on Bush's side when he's paid but he isn't when out to profit." Huh? I had to keep myself from going into convulsions as I refrained from calling the station. Bottom line is, all they have is ad hominems since they can't refute the facts.
