I ended up at http://www.plannedchildhood.org/ a disgusting pro-life website.

What is going on? Anyone had the same experience?

I just checked again. I accidentally typed www.johnkery.com

Those fuckers!

3. And exactly
Why did you have to share this? Some kinda serious anti-woman, anti-child site. Makes me want to hurl that people are this stupid.
:puke:

Too bad the site didn't have a "Contact Us" link. I surely would like to.

Anyway, since you found it, why don't you let the Kerry campaign know what is going on? I'm sure he would be interested. Otherwise, just think of all the typographically-challenged users who will be searching for the one hope for the world and instead get this bunch of loonies. I'm sure you wouldn't want that result . . . .

5. This is called typosquatting
And they can lose the domain if the Kerry campaign complains. I'd give them a tip.

7. I did
And I'm sure others will too. It's really nasty to see such crappy web design on top of the hoot and the holler of their site. Either these people are just real nutcases, or they're just stupid as hell, although I vote for them being both.

8. I informed the Kerry campaign about that
I was just typing too fast and didn't hit the second R. I'll pay more attention now.

I hope they lose their domain. I guess if they wouldn't hijack people, no one ever would go to their website.

6. That's what google, dogpile, teoma are for
Just typing a url into the url window of your browser can get you thrown all over the internet and get all kinds of spyware installed into your software.

One minute you could be typing digitalcameras.com into your browser, and the next you're looking at senion citizen bondage stuff. Yuk.
