Santa Barbara National Guard Armory Vandalized!
I was in Santa Barbara from last Monday until Friday about 11:30 a.m. I was staying at a motel about half a block from the Santa Barbara National Guard compound. When I was leaving the area I was at the corner of Los Positas and State Street waiting to make a left onto State. I was the first car in line and you could claerly see that the National Guard building had been hit many times by what appeared to have been paint balls. Many were red in color but also orange. After we turned we went by where the jeeps were parked and several of those appeared to have been hit with yellow paint. Also someone had been within the compound as there was a message written on the side of a building in red paint. Went by so fast all I could catch were the words world and terrorism.

During the morning we had been listening to the local NBC channel and there was no report of this incident. When we got to L.A. I did not here of a report from there either. Any Santa Barbara, CA DUers out there?

1. Uh-oh
My husband is a native of Santa Barbara, and his cousin owns a paintball gun store there!

But, his cousin (if he is like his mother) is a Republican.

Interesting!

3. Red and Yellow paint?

Go after Ray Croc, or his protege Ronald McDonald...

Seriously, vandalism is a no-no. I don't care who it's against, unless it's a political billboard. :-) It's fun seeing the results of what other people do to those signs... (edit: clarification, I'm not an eyewitness to the actual deed!)

4. That's Just PURE BULLSHIT
For anyone to vandalized anything. The National Guard and the members of the US Military are doing their job. They don't make the decisions, they followed orders or face court marshall.

So I hope they find who did it and make them reimburse the soldiers the property they damaged.
