Does anyone know what happened to The Horse (MediaWhoresOnline)?

They're officially "out to pasture," with no indication of when the site will return.

The Daily Howler hasn't updated in over a month, either.

Anyone have the goods? What's going on with these two important sites?

1. Howler's been updated.

You must be linked to the Howler from a month ago, or something. Somerby has been updating it (almost) daily since the end of the holidays.

2. The Horse looks like it has closed up shop

I suspect that a busy professional and personal life has left the Horse with no time for the site. It's a shame. It was a damn good blog. There are plenty of others, but the Horse was (is?) a great voice.

3. The Howler is updated almost every week day.

4. They got tired

or the money was so bad they didnt have the energy or time to keep it going. Thats a shame. It was a great site. I wish there was another in that vein. ??

5. I miss the Horse too.

They promised to come back when they could devote more time to the site. I hope that's true. Maybe closer to November they'll be back.

My browser sometimes won't update if I bring something up through a favorite. It'll go and get what's in the cache instead. Maybe yours has that same glitch? :shrug:
