I see. Must do something about that. I know, let's hold some elections to decide on who the candidate for Dems will be. Think that might solve things? Or are we still gonna have Kerry/Dean/Edwards/Gore supporter flame wars?

<RANT>
We must seriously get behind the "anyone but Bush" mantra. It is not the specific person but the base of talent and ideology from which all the top appointed positions of government will be drawn that is important.

We need Democratic ideals back in the White House to drag this country back into civilization. We need your support. I speak for the grass roots wing of the grass roots Democratic party.

no astroturf here. just plain gut feeling that (to quote a now hackneyed phrase) "UNITED WE STAND".

I almost get sick thinking about that as its new meaning on bumper stickers is "OUR WAY OR THE HIGHWAY" and "Speak out only if you love Bush".....but we do need to think in that way as a large base of supporters.

Get in there and attack BUSH. Point out WHY YOUR candidate is so great and what he stands for. It is so boring and old hearing WHY this or that candidate who's not yours will not win or is a jerk or is too Pentagon friendly, etc.

Voters...especially critical young voters, swing voters, busy wife with family voters really respond to positive messages that resonate with large, visionary thinking. Dean could conceivably win enough voters. So could Kerry and many of the others.

Anyway, good to be back here again. </RANT>

1. Same stuff, different day...
I agree with "anyone but Bush." Also, thank god for the primaries otherwise we would have to do "rock, paper, scissors" to decide the Democratic nominee.

2. The infighting doesn't bother me that much
But, like you, I'd rather see more positive posts and less flame wars. I'm with you on the Anyone But Bush bandwagon. I have my favorites but you won't hear me crying if one of them doesn't get the nomination. I expect we'll see more unity when this nomination business is settled. Until then, you might want to invest in an asbestos suit.
