Investor working to move Montreal Expos to Connecticut
I'm not a big baseball fan but some thing just aren't right. What are they thinking putting another franchise between New York and Boston?

1. To show that any team can win a World series before the Sox?
I would look frward to having a National League team close by. Is Hartford the city?

3. CT
has proven that they will not support a pro sports team. From the Hartford Failures to Women's Pro Basketball. If it ain't UCONN basketball it don't count.

4. Thats not the only option
I've also heard DC, which lost its team in the 1970's to Dallas (The Senators now the Texas Rangers)

DC (MSA 4+ million) is IMO a much more viable market than Connecticut even with Baltimore (MSA 2.6 million) nearby.

5. That means paying off Peter Angelos, though.
He owns the Orioles, and derives a significant portion of his revenue from DC. He would be a thorn in the side of any deal bringing baseball to DC or Northern VA.

I agree, though - I think DC is a better overall market, but is there room to build a stadium? Renovate RFK to be baseball-only?
