I know a lot of people on this site have accused Tim of being a Republican/WH shill, but after seeing the job he did on Wolfie last week, and Ridge today, I think we are seeing something new. He is holding admin officials to a higher standard. I am not sure I want to proceed with planned air trip this summer after listening to inept Ridge.

...what specifics did they talk about air travel? I'm concerned, but air travel is the only area where the incompetent Ridge is looking. I think Al-Qeida is smarter than they give them credit for--why would they attack air travel when they know we're at least aware of that? I really think we're going to have a chemical disaster next up.

3. "They" need an air travel incident, don't they.

"They" need for the caveman to plot, plan, and carry out an air travel incident, to help prevent any deterioration in the "Osama's Boys Did It" theory of 9/11.

With the Patriot Act, all of the new cooperation between the security forces, all the new monies spent, Tom Ridge and our *, plus the fact that we took out that Al Quaida loving Saddam/Iraq stronghold, what could go wrong?

4. Smirk and Co. know they have to pull another 9/11 for 3 reasons

first to get all the bad publicity off the air, and second to give Smirky something other than jobs, environment, education etc to campaign on. And third, to give PNAC an "in" to attack another nation. We have everything to lose with another terr-a-ist attack and Smirky has everything to gain.

I disagree...Smirky has a lot to lose from another incident. He's been at the helm for long enough now to take the blame for what ever happens.

Be that as it may, however, an attack outside of the US would be a much easier sell to the Sheeple. But would not have the impact of the 9/11 operation.

Then you've got the Iraq-a-mire. They have blood on their hands from this. It's gonna be real hard to show anymore hands without getting that blood on the cards.

6. The clamps will be screwed down tight when the next "incident' happens

You can bet your bippy on that. After 9/11 they got the whole legal framework in place for "Prison America" and if they clamp down HARD at the right moment, then they probably figure they will have TOTAL CONTROL.
