Anyone seen the make-fun-of-bush birthday cards at Target?
Couldn't believe it. There were about 5 different cards. I'll briefly describe, but if you're in Target, go and take a look. You will laugh out loud.

One had a this goofy pic of him on the front saying..."Thought I send you this special greeting for your birthday" And then inside it said "Anything to get your mind off the economy"

Another had his pic with quote saying "Thought I'd take time out of my work on education reform to say..." and then inside "Is you ready for another birthday"

The front of one had a drawing of our fearless leader saying "I'm the leader of the free world" and then inside "As if having another birthday isn't scary enough"

One was a joke about Bush being in Las Vegas and putting change in a pop vending machine and getting a pop and then continuing to put in change. The secret service come up and tell him it's time to leave and Bush says "Can't you see I'm winning"

There was one more with made-up-Bush words on the front, but I'm drawing a blank on the rest of the card.

Sorry about the paraphrasing. I would have bought them all but due to the current economy, only had enough money for back to school supplies. No fun money!

(Maybe someone with a little more capital could go purchase them and scan them for our entertainment. Or would that be against copyright laws?)

I almost hated to post about the cards because knowing some of the lurkers here, they'll probably have a freak out that someone is making fun of the W and have to start a boycott of Target or run to the store and destroy them all for the good of the country but I had to share the good news. Does this mean it's okay to make fun of the Chimp-in-chief now?

Happy Sunday

2. Pretty amazing
Way back when I bought the dh a card that made fun of Jimmy Carter's silly claim that he'd lusted in his heart after someone. However, the card ridiculed the concept of "lusting in your heart," rather than Carter himself.

I'm hearing fewer and fewer things in the media about the "popular president," and my crusty, rusty old brain doesn't remember this level of anxiety and ridicule for Poppy at this time in his presidency.

4. My sister got me one with a photo of * on
the front of the card. Honestly, I could barely stand to look at the damn thing. The first thing I did was rip off the front of the card and throw it away.

6. Geez, lighten up...
These are very funny cards...They make fun of Bush. The pictures of Bush on them are funny and the text is humorous.

But then again, I thought it was humorous to have paper dolls of King Ronnie and Queen Nancy during the 80's and to bring them out on special political occasions so guess I'm just warped.

14. Was it one of those syrupy unfunny ones I've seen?
They've been out for a while, and don't sound like the Target ones.

10. Please create another post telling people to shop at Target immediately
We all need to go and buy as many of the cards that we can afford and that way target will know that they have a market for bash JR stuff.

18. Mabe Target is seeing the light
It always pisses me off to be in Target, and there very small book section has the current books by all the usual Rethug morons (O' Reilly, Coulter, Hannity, etc.)

I was really surprised Target had Hillary's book. Now * cards; I will have to check it out as I have relative's birthdays coming up.
