8. fact
whether you're referring to ieamerica's demise

or

the new station. Randi has her contract and is moving to NYC.

from her website:

Randi Rhodes Syndication Info

In just a few short weeks from now when you hear the term “liberal media” it may actually be an accurate description of an actual media outlet that is actually liberal.

We’re going nationwide, baby. From New York to LA, Philly to San Francisco, Chicago to, of course, West Palm Beach.

At the end of this month The Air America Radio Network will launch in major markets all over this country with a lineup featuring among others Al Franken, Jeanene Garofalo, and yes, yours truly from 3 to 7.

It’s finally real, it’s finally here. And the best part is that I get to stay on WJNO with you, those who made all this possible. Thank you.

This is a new day in talk radio and new hope for those of us who still believe in doing the right thing.

10. thats great news thanks!

It would be nice to have a choice to hear someone else on my daily 45 minute commute from work in the afternoon other than Rush, Hannity, or a zillion other right wing nuts blathering constantly.

Finnaly!

3. I'm still in mourning
It is too bad.

We need some Co-op style media -- MoveOn is on the right track -- we'll have to fund it ourselves somehow. But getting started is what requires the biggest of bucks.

4. why did'nt the DNC step in and take it over or at least fund it?

This is so typical of the Democrats.....

Do you think the Republicans would of done the same and let Clear Channel go down?

DNC is a joke.

7. Because they are too busy focusing on the lone tree
and completely miss the forest..

Clear Channel did not take over in a month.. The conservatives started small and were willing to build their empire, a few stations at s time. It took them 25 years or so, but the succeeded..

Every day our side waits, is just plain stupid..

They should be funding GuyJames, and Malloy, and Werbe.. Anyone who has the guts and the built in venue, should be supported by them.. It's the perfect surrogacy...for less money that they spend on lunches, they could be getting their message out to hundreds of thousands of people, but for some inane reason, they are content to have people listen to Rush and his pals..:eyes:

because they started their own "radio news station".. I wish there was some way the DU could hook up with Guy James, and have our own internet media.. Who knows>?? Maybe we could get our very own white house correspondent too :P
