We must brand Bush as having a "Credibility Gap"
As we all know, the GOP is having a field day trying to paint Kerry as a “waffler” and a “flipper.” I post on an open forum and there are several threads every day started on this subject. Surprisingly, there have been very few branding Bush as having a credibility gap.

Don't get me wrong, there are discussions on his reluctance to cooperate with the 9/11 commission, his lies leading to the invasion of Iraq, his loss of focus on the war on terror, etc. But there's just not the same concerted, almost coordinated effort to brand him. Bush has a real credibility gap, and we need to make sure that label sticks. Not just on these big issues, either. Bush's credibility gap extends into everyday areas that continually effect voters lives. We need to remind them of that.

I'd love to see Kerry, moveon and the DNC go on the offensive, not just on Iraq and 9/11, but on all the promises he made and failed to keep. Those will resonate with Ohio voters and others in key states. And I'd love to see a consistent label applied to it, one that will be in the back of voters minds as they cast their votes in November.

So how about it? How does George “Credibility Gap” Bush sound?

1. I think you say the obvious, Humble.
And I agree that we have to pound it in.

But there is a long road between here and the election. I think the scenery along the way is going to get ugly!

3. Welcome Humble Truth
You have an excellent point compounded when one looks with whom bush has credibility. If we all make an effort to chat rationally with those who think he does not lie, or did not desert or (you fill in the blank) maybe we can convince enough citizens to send him packing after the next election. The gop is spending millions to convince us that he has credibility. How sad. He is a pathetic human being.

5. When they say Kerry flip flops
Ask them how many times Bush has changed the reason for invading Iraq.

7. Jobs will tip the balance in some states
Bush Claim: His tax cuts will create 1.4 millions jobs

Reality: We had a net loss 2.3 million jobs. He was off by 3.7 million jobs.

9. How about "Promise Breaker"
I agree that we need a phrase to paint * with in the public mind. I think that "Credibility Gap" is too mild. It has the advantage of being used before, but the disadvantage that it applied to Lyndon Johnson.

"Liar" is the one word negative description used most in the latest Pew Poll, but is too inflamatory for persuasion in general public discourse.

"Promise Breaker" allows one a long list of promises with the devasting current reality. It looks like the phrase that Kerry might use and I think it will be very effective.
