Arkansas Won't Replace Current Voting System
Edited on Tue Mar-02-04 09:47 PM by ayeshahaqqiqa
For all those out there worrying about Diebold stealing the election-here's a letter I got from Charlie Daniels, Arkansas Secretary of State:

Thank you for letting me know of your support for ensuring that elections in Arkansas are conducted using hardware and software that protect the integrity of each person's vote and that are administered by appropriate public election officials. I, and others, have identified a number of issues associated with currently available voting systems. These issues contributed to my decision to request a waiver of the requirement that Arkansas replace all its lever machine and punch-card voting systems this year.

As Arkansas's cheif election official, I will do everything that I can do to provide citizens with a secure and accurate voting system. And as we continue to study and evaluate systems and features that will provide us with security and accuracy I will keep your concerns in mind.
