The Progressive Caucus

I am not sure if everyone here is familiar with the Progressive Caucus in Congress. It is a caucus of about 56-58 members..mostly from the house but I think a few Senators as well...Senator Wellstone was a member. It is the largest caucus in congress and is the liberal wing of congress. I knew Pelosi is a member and Dennis Kucinich is either chair or co-chair. I am very interested in helping expand the caucus and elect Democrats who would join and push their liberal agenda. Does anyone here know how active they are or if they do anything relevent? I was dissapointed they didn't all rally around Dennis for president considering he is one of their own.
