Pack Rat or just proud?
My Dad, a veteran with 27 years of military service died 2 years ago.
Going through his belongings was a trip down memory lane for me and an insight into his life before I was born.

I found photographs and paperwork from the 40's through the 70's -all of his medical records and performance reviews. He moved over 20 times in the course of his military career yet never disposed of boxes of memorabilia.

Was my Dad so different from "most" military men I wonder? While some of W's documents may be "lost", surely he has personal records that should be able to vindicate the political attacks on his military service. Come on W, give me some evidence and I will believe you served your country. Until you do - I will believe that you dishonored my country and all servicemen and women who proudly served their nation.

1. When you spend time in the military
you learn the importance of retaining everything that has to do with your career. Records get lost at HQ - its good to have your original for backup. The military, if anything, teaches those who suceed to be compulsive - I wouldn't call it packrat-ish. He was probably proud, too.

Bush* on the other hand, has had so many failures - he has no interest in keeping copies of his shortcomings - he has no pride because he has never done a thing of which to be proud.

Thanks to you dad for his proud service.
