O'Reilly's apology is international news - ROFL
TV presenter apologises for backing weapons claims

A conservative TV news anchor in the United States has apologised to his viewers for supporting pre-war claims that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.

Bill O'Reilly is the anchor of his own show on Fox News.

He says he is sorry he gave the US Government the benefit of the doubt over claims that Saddam Hussein's weapons program posed an imminent threat to the world - the main reason cited for going to war.

Mr O'Reilly says he has become much more sceptical about the Bush administration since former weapons inspector David Kay said he did not think Saddam had any weapons of mass destruction.

However, while critical of President George W Bush, Mr O'Reilly says he does not think the President intentionally lied.

He instead blamed CIA director George Tenet, who was appointed by former president Bill Clinton.

6. Kein Thema
The ROTW LOVES Bill. He's intelligent, engaging, thoughtful, can talk your damn ear off without notes, EXTREMELY popular with many scratching their heads in abject horror and disbelief over the BJ. Bring it on!

Y'all haven't had a clear visual of how seriously you're being verarsched by this *dimwit dauphin, not to mention screwed up the butt (unwillingly) SPIRITUALLY, ENVIRONMENTALLY, FINANCIALLY, EMOTIONALLY, and in every other which kind of way, thereby allowing the *puppetmeisters to screw the ROTW while they're at it. (Again "unwillingly" is the operative word. I've NOTHING against appropriate physical discourse in whatever form.)

I wish someone would assemble a Flash on what the ROTW sees. Complete with obviously "scoured" transcripts. There needs to be a redux of the British "dictator toppling in effigy" IN THE U.S. of A. Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves. The PEOPLE be they Brits, Spaniards, German, French, IRAQI, u.s.w GOT IT RIGHT. Y'all are subject to the most powerful MIC on the earth with the codicil of an "enlightened" Constitution. Will you stand up for it? Leadership has been foisted upon you and *crusader bunnypants ain't it. *He is NOT it. Please PUT IN THE FIX ASAP.

Errraaa... FULL STOP. I don't mean no California stop either. Strip off the PNAC mask embodied in the personage of *gwb(jr). We can do better. They have their *fix, we have ours. Ghandi and Dr King demonstrated how it's done...

2. hahaha
awesome. and they label him as conservative too! we all know how much o'reilly hates being labelled a conservative because he "believes in global warming" and is "against the death penalty." whatever bill. wasn't he supposed to totally denounce the bush administration if everything turned out to be untrue? it seems like he's just blaming tenet. whatever.

4. no wonder o'reilly's against the death penalty
he said he wanted to kill michael moore and he'd like to put a bullet between al franken's eyes.

maybe he's hoping when he finally snaps and does those things, he won't get that lethal injection.

by the way, isn't it illegal for him to say on a national television show that he'd like to kill someone?

8. Fuck off, OReally
Its not an apology if you blame someone else.

Bush lied, and you know it. You just don't care because you are a sick asshole.

10. Wow, hell just froze over!
This is unbelievable. Really, it is. I never expected this dufus
to come out and apologize...unfortunately, the crap he said he
meant and a simple about-face won't remove his tarnished credibility.

Idiot should resign.

12. no fan of Bill's
but most of us never belived him when he said "if I'm wrong I'll apologise" and have spent the last few months saying "come on Bill you big liar" - OK so he's blaming Tenet, if Tenet didn't want to be the scapegoat for the Bushist warpigs then he could have LOUDLY said last year "no the CIA does not beleive Iraq is an imminent threat to the USA" but he didn't and he's been fairly timid in defending himself and/or the CIA since the Kay report - screw him, maybe it'll teach him to be honest in the future and not politically expedient.
I'll give Bill credit for this one - not a lot but he did apologise

13. When will he "apologize" to Iraq?
When will he take responsibility for his part in the destruction of that country?

When will he take responsibility for the thousands of deaths of the Iraqi people?

Is he going to make a personal appearance at bases around the country, and apologize to the families who have lost soldiers to the war he helped promote?

Will he visit all the soldiers in hospitals with severe wounds, and make their lives better?

The boy has work to do.....
