On C-Span, Brian Lamb's interview with a Saudi reporter -- bombshell?
In the last hour, when Brian spoke with this Saudi (whose name I can't remember) a caller brought up the subject of US flying out the Bin Laden family after 9-11. The reporter said (paraphrasing) "There were other Saudi families on that flight besides the Bin Laden family."

Brian asked him specifically if he was correct about "other families." The reporter said yes, other families. Brian asked him which other families, and the reporter started hedging and refused to get more specific.

A caller just said that this is a remarkable point, and Brian agreed, "He clearly knew more than he was telling us."

If this reporter wasn't lying, and apparently he wasn't, I think we need to know which other families left this country that day.

Thoughts?

4. It Woke Me Up & I'm Not A LIHOP/MIHOPper
What caught my ear was the reporter's excuse for why the Saudis were flown out...something to the effect that they were facing persecution here in the wake of 9/11.

This made me go whoa. First, as we know and this regime admits, these Saudis were on their way back to Riyadh within 24-48 hours after the attacks and we still didn't have a full profile of who the attackers were. Yes, we knew they were Arabs, but not specifically Saudis (I think many were wishing they were Iraqis).

Yes, I also double-took with the mention of others on the flights that weren't "bin Ladens" (my take)...were these other Saudi nationals? Egyptians? Iraqis? Curious minds now really want to know.

Anyone else pick up on this?

7. Try This Tinfoil Hat On...Whatif It Were Iraqis
Even more fun...it's relatives of Saddam Hussein...possible smoking guns for WMD and an Al Queda connection. BUT...since admitting that the regime let them escape in the hours after 9/11 calls into question who knew what and when. Damn, that'd make a great thriller...LaCarre where are you?

6. Who was on the plane?
Release the passenger lists now.

"government by the people, of the people, and for the people..."

The citizens of the USA have a right to know about the Bush-bin Laden relationships.

8. Phantom Flight From Florida
Edited on Sat Feb-07-04 09:31 AM by Skinner
****I kept this....ever since I read it in our paper.....it started in Florida....

The Tampa Tribune

TAMPA - The twin-engine Lear jet streaked into the afternoon sky, leaving Tampa behind but revealing a glimpse of international intrigue in the aftermath of terrorist attacks on America.

The federal government says the flight never took place.

But the two armed bodyguards hired to chaperon their clients out of the state recall the 100-minute trip Sept. 13 quite vividly.

In the end, the son of a Saudi Arabian prince who is the nation's defense minister and the son of a Saudi army commander made it to Kentucky for a waiting 747 and a trip to their homeland.

The hastily arranged flight out of Raytheon Airport Services, a private hangar on the outskirts of Tampa International Airport, was anything but ordinary. It lifted off the tarmac at a time when every private plane in the nation was grounded due to safety concerns after the Sept. 11 attacks.

9. I'm sure Bush* will get right on this
he's been so good about being so forthcoming with all the 9/11 questions. Okay - sarcasm over. The passenger lists for all the regular airline flights that day have been posted before - and most came up 3-4 short.... which would indicate a lack of Arab hijackers and ironically enough - the doctor who autopsied the bodes said there were no Arabs.
