AP Poll Notes Decline in Support for Bush

<snip>Bush's approval rating stood at 47 percent in the AP-Ipsos poll taken in early February, down from 56 percent approval just a month ago. Half, or 50 percent, said they disapproved in the latest poll.

Bush's 47 percent approval rating is the same as his father's at this stage in his presidency 12 years ago before he lost to Bill Clinton.

1. Well, approval/disapproval is not so much 'against' Clinton.

"At this time" Clinton was unnominated, and had probably won about as many primaries as Clark at this point, in any(?).

But the joy in the numbers remains. Bill Schneider on CNN had some even juicier ones a few minutes ago, with about a 5-6 point D advantage on 'Definitely will for for/against' Shrub.

Thus, Rove needs some help from Timmy this Sunday.

3. Yeah. It's hard to get excited
at this early stage, 'cause I know Rove is reaching in his bag of dirty tricks as we speak. As much as I would like to :bounce: off the ceiling, I know this is still gonna be a long road.
