My Theory: Bush's Lost Weekends in Alabama

So the newest spin from the dutiful Republi-media is that Bush can prove he performed required military service in Alabama because people on the campaign heard him say he was going to go to serve. This neat little fact is sometimes spun as an outright observation in that some people on the campaign claim he actually served instead of claiming to have heard him say he was going to go serve .....

It doesn't take much leap in logic to realize that a man with an historic drug problem and who was never seen serving in Alabama by his commander must now account for what he really was doing on those weeks/weekends. When he told his campaign employer that he was going to serve his guard duty, but never showed up, where did he go? In addition, Bush never submitted to a mandatory physical after he left Texas in May of 1972. Now why would a man who was AWOL from duty not want a mandatory physical (read drug test) to be performed on him??

Can anyone say LOST WEEKEND?

1. When you show up for reserve drill, you present a numbered card

to the paymaster, who puts you on the payroll for that particular drill. You get a receipt for the pay voucher on a piece of flimsy. The master copy stays with the unit's pay records. If B*sh cannot produce these receipts, BINGO! No record of service.

... as a way of definitively putting to rest the question of whether Bush served or not ... Because the only document showing he did serve is a torn piece of paper with Bush's social security number but only the "W" of his name on it.

What do you think the odds are that the Army is quickly running through their warehouses destroying records as quick as they can??

...of a drunk druggie keeping his pay stubs in what was likely the squalor of his bedroom is not high. I believe he was living with a couple during that period. (And incidentally bedded the wife.)

But here's something to think about.

There should be photos somewhere of him in Blount's campaign. If the campaign photos were examined and there was never a picture of Bush, then some other questions would need to be asked about his whereabouts.

Also, he should be quoted in the press somewhere during that time.

Bush may be a lot of things, and he may even have done this, but if we are going to throw strong charges around, we need some way of substantiating such charges.

the more ludicrous it becomes that he doesn't just produce the records. Of course, he won't produce them, because they don't exist. I really don't see how this issue can go away.

That's my theory. It explains everything. He was still dependent on drugs, could not take the military physical. Poppa bush got angry at georgie's inability to play by the rules and forced him into rehab. So georgie goes to an exclusive place where all the rich and connected are treated. No one there would want anyone else to know about their treatment for drug addiction, so no one is going to squeal about it, either. You don't expose someone famous if you don't want to be exposed yourself. It's perfect. Everyone has too much to lose.

Such places often allow family visits. This explains georgie going off his rocker and getting drunk come Christmas time, knocking over the garbage cans with the car, and challenging his father to a man-to-man fight. georgie was mighty upset at being institutionalized against his will, he just wanted to party and did not want to accept the responsibilities thrust upon him of being in the number one Repub family of this country.

Someone gave georgie a very good talking-to, explained the Republican facts of life to him, and god knows what kind of treatment. Not all of it worked, georgie still drank, but the real beast (cocaine) was under control.

Thus we have the reason for all records being destroyed and no one coming forth to explain his whereabouts.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
