A sign that Cheney may be off the ticket
I saw my first Bush bumper sticker today.

It had an American flag on the left half, on the right it said "Re elect Bush in 2004"

At first the arrogance of the re-elect part got me annoyed, but once I got over that I realized that it didn't mention Cheney at all.

Is this unusual? I don't remember ever seeing a presidential bumper sticker that did not inclued the VP candidate.

This explains the Scalia duck hunting trip. They are acting like it don't matter, because it won't. Cheney is going to take the fall for everything, Bush will pardon him. Cheney will go back to Halliburton and rake in more millions. Laughing all the way to the bank.

2. Another sign Bush* may dump Cheney:
The White House has stopped stockpiling batteries.

3. Cheney's not as popular
with his secretiveness, ties to Halliburton, etc. So they don't want to play him up too much. This election is about Bush, for them and us.

To take him off the ticket would be worse, though. That's like admitting he's a crook.

5. Rove already has the next heart attack scheduled, probably in May.
It gets Cheney off the ticket (replaced by Rudy) and they'll hope to gather sympathy for poor Dick. Look for stories that his heart attack was brought on by something the Dem nominee said...

7. Rudy is despicable, but they may not be able to manipulate him
to attack all over the world. There is a part of me that thinks Rudy may have a conscience or some rudimentary form of one. Don't ask why I have the impression and I'm sure Rudy will set me straight in no time, but for now that's how I feel.

10. putting Rudy on the ticket would be too great a risk to Bush

I don't think it would be Rudy , I think either condi or colon
are much safer bets .

8. I was tempted
But not in moving traffic. Although one could easily make that Re-Elect into a De-Elect.

6. Cheney could pull a "James K Polk"
After completing his entire agenda, he may not seek re-election. Why should he "Dick" around in the White House any more? Time for him to cash in on his handywork -- he's got an entire administration who will continue to do his bidding whether he's the Vice President or not. :grr:

11. If Cheney wasn't going to be on the ballot then
they wouldn't be parading him all over the place - like to see the Pope, on a high profile trip to drum up support for the war abroad. Face it - we're stuck with another Bush/Cheney ticket - sad as it is.
