WMD's and the failure of the "Intelligence"? huh?
OK so all I am hearing is that this was a failure of the CIA, etc. Kay says the CIA owes Bush an apology. :wtf:

My thought was, how does anyone know? The politicians are being portrayed as victims of bad intelligence but truly is that the case?

Who influenced who I ask? Was there pressure from the Oval office/corporate powers for "proper" intelligence to be put forth.
Did corporate powers put pressure on the intelligence community to put forth "proper" intelligence, on Iraq, during the Clinton term.

And like Mark Shields said tonight, "Where is the outrage from the Bush camp for recieving faulty intelligence?"

Some of my ideas are a bit far afield but I think you get my point.

1. I think
there was enormous pressure by the administration to come up with *something*. Consequently, I think a lot reports were passed on that had not been verified or authorized.

2. When John Kennedy
became president, the CIA presented him with a plan they had developed when Ike was president. The plan was to back Cuban rebels attacking Cuba. When the invasion failed, JFK took full responsibility.

As far as I know Bush has never taken the consequences of one single action of his in his whole life.

4. Mark is right!
And like Mark Shields said tonight, "Where is the outrage from the Bush camp for receiving faulty intelligence?"

I agree with Mike! Bush said the other day he had all the confidence in the world with our intelligence. I just don't have confidence in his. I would be ticked off and cracking skulls if I were prez. He hasn't even slapped a wrist!!
