By not resigning, Is Gov.Rowland costing CT.Tax payers$$?
I live in CT. & was curious, how much is this costing tax payers w/this "special Comittee" & all these lengthy proceedings? Would it have been better if Rowland just resigned?I mean, even Republicans & friends of the Gov.says he should. Is he committing politcal suicide?

Also, my Mom thinks Bush will appoint Rowland some cushy job in his administration WHEN he eventually resigns/is impeached.COuld this be true?

1. He'll stay until Karl Rove makes "the call"
I don't think Bush is planning on winning Connecticut, but Karl Rove will eventually conclude that this guy is a liability to the Republican Party. He will then call him up and ask him to resign, in exchange for the feds backing off on him, and if not, he'll see to it that Shrub pardons him.

2. I don't think so
Rowland is a national laughingstock right now - as arrogant as Bush is, I don't think even he would appoint Rowland to anything.
