Spare me from idiots..........please.
I was just in an AOL chat room which was not political at all, though it apparently turned in that direction. I read a post stating the two American Presidents who were most opposed too civil liberties were Lincoln and FDR. :wtf: At that point, I pointed out Bush* and both his Patriot Acts. I feel like I am in the Twilight Zone!

1. Stay away from these types of chat rooms.
It is a poor investment of time

3. Reply
Lincoln - Habeas Corpus (Civil War)
FDR - Interning Japanese-Americans (WW2)

That's the points they are making. Now that you know to what they were making reference, you can do your own research and draw your own conclusions.

If you already knew to what they were making reference, then disregard this post.

6. Somehow I doubt they were referencing those points
but that would just be my opinion, given the tone. And I would say that Bush is worse than those two examples! But thanks for your reply. Condescension?
