"I'm hongry....anybody want some ribs..."
It was on the Keith Olberman Show on MSNBC.
Did anyone see this excerpt of Bush at a restaurant in New Mexico? If you thought Howard Dean was embarrassing, this would have gagged a maggot. Oh man, was it bad! He kept leaning over to talk to some Hispanic kitchen helper who was on the phone, pretending he was whispering some unknown secrets about the reporters that were trying to get him to answer some questions. He asked some pregnant lady if she wanted some ribs for the baby and she abruptly declined. Then he pretended to give everyone an economic lesson about buying some ribs and putting more money into the pockets of those minimum wage (actually less) restaurant workers. He offered to buy some ribs for the reporters but I didn't see any accept. He asked one reporter, "What do you want?" The reporter responded, "An answer." Olberman said he got the ribs as a takeout and he didn't tip.

1. An answer!!!!
What a great comeback. I am sure the reporter didn't get it. And wise of him to turn down the ribs, as that could have been perceived as a conflict of interest. And he may have taken a ribbing for that back at the network.

8. I've noticed Terry Moran be quite agressive
various QandA's have shown him to be one of the few who asks pertinent questions, then follows up.......look for him to be transferred to Burkina Faso.

anyone have his email?

he needs to know that there are those out there who've noticed that somebody's actually doing his job

3. not very presidential at all
but Diane Sawyer would never play that tape for Bush to watch during an interview, and ask him to explain himself.

Bush has no excuse for that behavior. Why on earth, even from his point of view, would he not want to answer questions? He's the freaking president, he just gave a major speech laying out his agenda for the year, he's running for reelection and he doesn't want to answer questions? Why?

And why be such a prick? Makes no sense, someone should ask him to explain. But no one will.

why the F#&%#CK ( ) are they pounding Dean to death over that stupid travelogue from Iowa the other night, when they could be showing this?

they've turned Dean's display into his George Romney "brainwashed" moment; signalled it the deathknell of his campaign

Peggy Nooonan likened him to a WIFEBEATER!!

wait a minute.......what am I thinking?

this story will be gone by tomorrow....meanwhile we've have the likes of Conan OBrien showing Dean literally foaming at the mouth until Dean is down in Kucinich polling territory.

19. Repeat after me - Peggy Noonan is Reagan's Monica.
Wonder how many times she went under his desk. And she's still givin' blow jobs - figuratively speaking, that is - to the memory of bush I and now bush II.

She's their Monica. We ought to start letting THAT one seep out. She's got three sets of presidential kneepads. She is BEYOND media whore.

14. as I type, TWO stations are talking about Dean's "meltdown"
Craig Crawford called it a meltdown, referring to Dean's "screecing!"

Buchanan/Tweet are discussing the same thing; Buchanan saying that Dean cannot recover from this moment

CNBC's "embed" says Dean is "sucking wind," crowd turnout is way way down.

THEN........Kerry's embed was just asked a question about Kerry being TOO LIBERAL!!!!!!!!

time to turn it all off

20. And the funny thing is, NO ONE is talking about bush's slurred speech
the other night. And his mispronunciations. How he could NEVER get "nuclear" out correctly. But we did hear about businesses "oping." We heard stuttering galore, weapons-of-mass-destruction-program-activities, and lots of little words like "lists," "children," "fields," "compassion," and others, that sounded like he was trying WAY too hard not to stumble - the way one tries to overcompensate after having hit the bottle a few times.

16. he came across as the cranky old guy who pesters strangers ...
... the one who prompts other people to move to a different table, if he shows up and starts hassling them!

That was bizarre. And far more indicative of his administration than that SOTU speech.

21. lack of respect
Stunts like this just reinforce the complete disdain with which Bush treats the press and, by extension, the American people ... who pay his damned salary. He works for US, and yet he treats us all with a complete lack of respect. The way he f*cks with the press is absolutely revolting. Whatever you may think of individual members of the media, the press is an essential part of a free society. Bush treats them like some little gnat buzzing around his ear.

A pig has more social grace ... more manners than this clown. How DARE he treat us this way? He is OUR EMPLOYEE! Time to fire his sorry, sorry ass.

25. I was hit...
..with the exact same, if not enhanced, feeling of discomfort watching this footage that I did when I saw the "Dean Scream". It's like when someone's obnoxious kid comes to your table at a restaurant and will not stop talking about his shoes or something. The problem is, most people already have a lowered expectation of Bush's intelligence, so I doubt this will change anyone's mind.
