If Pre-Emption is now our official policy?
Why doesn't it apply to Global Warming? There is every bit as much evidence that it is harmful to the US and the rest of the world as there was that Iraq had WMD and supported terrorists. Does Pre-Emption only apply to countries that have oil reserves or does it apply to anything that is considered harmful; to us? This is a take off on another thread about global warming but I'm trying to reconcile the thought process that thinks Pre-Emptive action is good.

4. It is his fault that Kerry and Kennedy voted against this treaty.
Surely you jest. Otherwise you are saying that niether Kerry nor Kennedy has a mind of his own. This I do not believe.

13. Bush has taken the mantle of head of our government
The buck does stop with him whether he likes it or not. It is true during the Clinton Presidency that the Kyoto accords were rejected but they were modified and presented again with newer evidence. Bush* disregarded it out of hand and it was never presented to Congress in it's newer version. It is sort of like ruling by decree. the same way Bush* eliminated Start II Treaties and non-proliferation treaties which he ended by decree without the advise and consent of Congress. So yes Bush* has given us a reason to complain. How many treaties has he single-handedly ended? (a hint it is more than five.)

12. Maybe so
I'm not disagreeing. I just say that it is not Bush's fault if Kerry and Kennedy are the kind of moral cowards and/or idiots that CAN be led around by the nose.

Nothing that Bush, or anyone else does, relieves us of our responsibility and duty to do the right thing.
