Freepers are not happy with Bushco*
After reading this thread on FR, I'm amazed by the number of freepers that seem to hate bush. I'm beginning to have hope!

BTW: Someone in the thread mention that FR does not represent the mainstream views of conservatives. Just as DU is far left, If I had to guess I'd say FR is far right, correct?

1. I've seen it on multiple threads
I spent a few hours over there this afternoon and true conservatives are totally pissed with the entire Republican regime, mostly over privacy and "big government" issues.

But I'm worried that they see Bush as an abberation and still worship at the altar of Reagan's libertarian, anti-government "morning in america" crap.

3. I take it that they want to clean up their side of the court as much
as some of us want to clean up ours.

I wonder what would happen if the veteran's party did a clean sweep and took all of the seats in Florida in the next few years.

4. Who said DU is far left?
We are simple ordinary middle-earth people who are NOT out in rightwing field.
That is all.
The pendulum has swung SO FAR to the right that it is starting to come back round to the left - and it is bringing Freepers around with it.
That is the sad part.

6. But are these people
going to vote for a Democrat in November? Maybe a number of them will just sit this one out, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

7. DU far left?
Not hardly. There are far left posters, but for the most part I think DU'ers are quite normal for being liberal leaning.

8. Strong words, but...

If sitting home or supporting a third party candidate helps elect Dean, how much loaf will we have?

You are not seeing the forest.

The neo-cons and other big-government Pubbies must be given a stake through the heart and be buried 18 feet deep.

...I don't see many of the FR folks switching to whichever Democrat gets the nomination. I think the best we can hope for is that they'll choose to sit this one out rather than vote for El Presidente Gusano. GOTV efforts are going to be critical this year.

Besides, I think they should be buried at least 50 feet deep.
