Invisible Dick to sneak into Portland Tuesday

He's coming here to Little Beirut for more cash. Here are the details:

On January 13th 2004 Vice pResident Dick Cheney will be in Portland to drum up support in the swing state of Oregon. This will also undoubtedly cause a strain on the city of Portland for "free speech zones" and police "protection".

This will be yet another event where people will be excluded becasue of class related issues. The invitations to this event are $1000 just to be there and $10,000 to have your picture taken with Dick, reinforcing that this government is for the people (with money).

There's a thread in the Activism/Events forum with more info. I would never miss an opportunity to greet my Vice-pResident in my home town!

Someone here posed as a Republican in order to find out just where he'd be. The nice lady at the GOP state office was happy to oblige.

BTW, he's at the Embassy Suites Hotel near the PDX airport. Thanks to the USA PATRIOT Act, we protesters can be considered terrorists if we trespass on Port property now.

Last time he came here, the Rich Radical Right made the mistake of holding the event downtown. Big mistake in Little Beirut. They wised up a bit since.
